Introduction: |
As per Sections 244, 245, 386, and 392 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act and the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation (Regulation and Control of Sky Signs and Advertisements) Rules, 2022, there are provisions for regulating advertisements and sky signs. Accordingly, in the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation area, the goal is to enhance the beauty of the city and increase the Corporation’s revenue through various types of advertisements such as hoardings (sky signs), advertisements on commercial establishments, shop signboards, and other types of ads. |

Department Functions: |
To regulate and control advertisement boards under the provisions of Sections 244 and 245 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act and the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation (Regulation and Control of Sky Signs and Advertisements) Rules, 2022. To strive toward achieving revenue collection targets and undertake work related to the same. To perform duties as per the directions issued by the Hon’ble Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. To conduct ward-wise surveys of advertisement boards on commercial establishments within the jurisdiction of Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation, and accordingly levy charges and fulfill revenue targets. To manage office and government correspondence and related administrative work. |
